It's the law not to sell cigarettes and other tobacco products to people under 18.






Govt. of India invoked a law stating prohibition of employment of children below 14 illegal, except in family owned enterprises.



In India , prostitution itself (exchanging sex for money) is not illegal, but the surrounding activities (operating brothels , pimping, soliciting sex etc) are illegal.



The request, payment or acceptance of a dowry, "as consideration for the marriage" is strictly Prohibited . where "dowry" is defined as a gift demanded or given as a precondition for a marriage. Gifts given without a precondition are not considered dowry, and are legal.
